The pride of life will be what prevents a person from humbling themselves before God.
Know that your life, your beauty, your wealth, is not your own.
I've talked to people who told me they refuse to believe in God because they refuse to worship a God that demands it.
My question to such a person is this:
Is He not deserving?
Even you, dear reader, are subject to God's Authority.
Surely that is no surprise.
Don't let your pride keep you from being able, or willing, to admit your own wrongdoings and confess them; even if you do so to God only.
>The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.Psalms 10:4
