Sit down and focus on your breathing, how it feels to inhale and exhale and that sort of thing. Then when your mind wonders make an effort to bring it back to focus on your breath. You'll get better, bit by bit at focusing on something for a long period of time.
Also try pick up a new hobby outside of gaming and internet stuff. Do a different task then reward yourself with internet, gaming, tv and those kinds of activities in the evening AFTER your work.
The most wonderful thing about the brain is its ability to adapt and be re-wired. If you feel like it is broken, it can always be re-wired to work and focus better.
