the issue is that i can't know how good a translation is without comparing it to the original content and if i can read the original content then i might as well just do that. ofc there are always things that will get lost in translation but games for example are infamous for having translations that sound fine in a vacuum but are totally divergent from the original intent which is what i care about.
well i don't really care about drawing videos in the first place so it wasn't really going to matter in the end
