There was some commotion in one of my driveways: the neighborhood pygmy goat and two small dogs, seemingly playing. I see one dog grab at the goats ear, another at his leg, while in the distance a young voice is calling the cute creature home.
I grab my camera.
When I return, the goat is now alone, busy eating weeds in a front garden. The child's voice is getting closer.
Then, as she approaches the driveway, still calling to the goat to come home, the two pugs reappear. They flank the goat. One grabs his ear to gently pull him, while the other one, now behind, nudges the goat towards the girl.
Once she grabs his collar, the dogs stand aside.
>JOB WELL DONE!
And there I got to see the cutest looking 'sheep dogs" tending their charge. Country living is especially fun when it helps you forget there's a world of hurt happening on the other side of the fence.
