The reality of "UFO's" is far more mundane, and the only way to keep their existence and the physics behind them a secret, was to flood the entire genre with bullshit. "Aliens" are just part of the bullshit.
The reality has been exposed right here on /pol/, and spoken of by other nation's alphabet agencies, it is true that you can't really keep a secret.
And if a lot of the bullshit has taken hold, then you can expect the PTB to take advantage of this, and use it to their own ends.
