The biggest threat is probably a minority of LARPers trying to "overthrow" the US government. Any rebels will be destoryed in weeks if not days by the government. I can survive by just laying low and being non-political in public. The biggest threat isn't the government. It's political radicals that are a threat to the well being of anyone.
