>>18508493>I took huperzine-A for a while and developed a strong sensitivity to anything remotely like vitamin BYeah huperzine-A is harsh. You could wait a year to a few years. Receptor reset/rebuild times are probably between 6 months to a few years. Off the top of my head I don't know any study on that but I do know a related study hence my estimate. So at some point you could try a milder acetylcholine reuptake inhibitor like rosemary (mild) or galantamine (medium), but huperzine-A no that is just harsh.
Or better just stay away from reuptake inhibitors, that might be a good idea for you. For most people B6 mildly and indirectly raises acetylcholine, so you're pretty sensitive. I'd say if you're too sensitive for that class of focus/memory drugs, then try something maybe like Piracetam. Quote: "piracetam alone markedly increased choline content in hippocampus (88%) and tended to decrease acetylcholine levels (19%)." You might be ok with piracetam. Piracetam is very inexpensive and a very old chemical with a long history of safety. So you should be alright trying a tiny amount, then if no problem try a larger amount.
Overall though, listen to your body and first look up the mechanisms of how any supplement works. Search the supplement name and acetylcholine in google. Many memory drugs use other pathways then tinkering with acetylcholine.
