Is it just me, or does it seem like things are falling apart more and more in the United States?
- Every other day the internet/cable goes out and the cable company has to send a truck out to fix it. Of course, you only have 2 companies to choose from and their prices are exactly the same.
- At least once a month the power will randomly go out for 2 seconds and then come back on. During a bad storm, sometimes the power will be out for 2 or 3 days.
- Every new car is breaking down earlier and earlier. I'm constantly seeing 3 year old cars at the shop getting repairs on their transmissions, transaxles, batteries and electrical components.
- Modern homes are junk that might as well be made out of plywood. Constantly having water damage.
- Appliances like old fridges, freezers, washers and dryers used to last decades, now your appliances need to be replaced like every 5 - 8 years.
- Every road is full of fucking potholes, erased paint lines, broken/rusted down guard rails, dilapidated bridges, etc. You pay 35% of your income in taxes, yet none of it goes towards infrastructure.
- Crime is out of control in every major city, yet the police are more worried about enforcing minor traffic violations, instead of robbery, corruption, drugs and murder.
