Satan does not care what your belief system is comprised of as long as you do not have Christ in your heart. Regardless of your belief system, you are now operating under the dominion of Satan as he has influence over everyone that blasphemes Christ.
You say that you were a believer before, then I sincerely do hope that you return back to the path. I have lived irreligiously all my life and have only found misery & suffering until half a year ago when I finally decided that I would walk with Christ.
Only Christ offered anything different, everything else is needless pride that is preyed upon by Satan.
Genuinely, look into your heart, and ask yourself this question over & over & over if need be:
"Why do the rulers of this sick & demented world hate Christ so much?"
Remember that Christ will always wait patiently for your return.
