Satan has no power except what God allows, as God is sovereign; he gives us up to our own sin and it's effects on our lives and that of others and we deserve His full judgement both now and in eternity.
The good news of the gospel comes in here: God took on flesh and poured out the wrath reserved for us on Himself and took it to the cross, so that if we believe in His sacrifice and take on repentance we can be excused.
Would anyone who knows this not want the record of debt (sin) forgiven and pardon given to live with Him both now and Especially in eternity?
