This is because the vagina and surrounding tissue has mechanisms to deter the growth of yeast and bacteria, including a more inhospitable pH, H2O2 production etc, which probably would grant bacteria more resistance to the alcohol and zinc agent related to oral wash antiseptics. All the more reason to keep it away from your mouth. Often, the worst cases of halitosis will not resolve with over the counter mouth wash and require special formulations containing antibioitics to kill it. All to often, it returns because we know a fool returns to his folly like a dog returns to his vomit.
