in the end what it comes down to is the fact that i read like 100 or more kanji a day on my own time but even when it comes to homework i write maybe 20 by hand in a given week. it's just not something i have any reason to do outside of school and it isn't typically even required for that outside of tests on kanji specifically. so despite being the harder skill i get basically 0 practice writing by hand without going out of my way for it
