The successful implementation of self-checkouts was, I believe, the final straw for our society and proof that we have gone beyond the point of no return. The average person finds the idea of having a routine interaction with another average person SO unbearable, that they would rather do someone else's JOB completely UNPAID. Why? This is a type of anti social behavior that you would only see in the most absolutely extreme cases years ago.
