Almost every motion you’ll animate is similar to that ball bounce, so really, really focus on that.
Really though, it’s just practice, work, and consistency. Work on projects, don’t just get caught up studying. Don’t hate small beginning(thas Biblical), do life drawing daily, but do it how that pdf I posted says to do it.
If you’re self taught you’re honestly better off than going to art school at this point. Since 2019 they really don’t focus on skill or developing your unique talent, they focus on making you a cog for Toonboom animation on whatever LGBT+ cartoon Disney or Cartoon Network is putting out. Usually, grad animations are bland, lesbian love stories with a very safe anime aesthetic and barely any actual animation involved. I’ve seen some that were just straight up story boards.
