Kanako raised an eyebrow as Lola brought up her her mask.
>Oh yeah...come to think of it I think this is the first time I've seen you without your mask!
She smiled.
It's okay, I think you look good with or without it...but yeah I'll take you up on that.
Kanako leaned on Lola's shoulder and quickly fell asleep. Until about 30 minutes later, the SUV stopped in front of the house Kanako had moved into recently.
"We're here ladies. No offense, but I gotta keep moving so please head home."
Kanako quickly woke up, going to rub her face before she touched a cut on it.
>Ow! Erm, o-oh yeah thank you...
Kanako left the car and led Lola to her new living arrangements.
>Um, not that I don't trust you, but uhhhhh don't touch any of the firearms please, I'll be right back!
Kanako said as she turned the lights on. Her living room had various firearms spread out on it, along with random manga strewn about. Since moving out of the dojo she'd been a little less concerned about leaving 'sensitive' items out. She ran off to her bathroom. Digging through her drawers, she pulled out a couple of large, metallic- looking bandaids. She put one of each on each cheek carefully while looking in the mirror.
>Okay! That's better. So uh...how do I start...?
Kanako walked back to her living room, pressing her index fingers against each other.
>Well...uh, so you prolly heard my real name is Yumi O'Brian by now. I died a few years ago. But apparently I have some...weird genetic thing or something. So some scientist guys brought me back. Somehow, it's all over my head. And I'm extremely compatible with these experimental nanomachines they were using which is why they wanted me. Some fast healing stuff for soldiers, at least that was the hope. That's what I injected in the car and what this is.
Kanako pulled one of the bandaids off her cheek.
>Ow!
Kanako touched her cheek. The cut and bruising was completely gone.
