>>16174132it always ends up feeling forced and "i dont actually wanna be doing this right now" to me if im doing it to really talk with someone rather than mess around, idk, and small talk is absolutely soul-crushing for me there, here as well but still less somehow
lately with someone its been different cause we're both ramblers but already its feeling kind of jaded after a little bit, i preferred talking with them over a board way better
i think theres also that the imageboard format is just so much better for discussing things and bringing out all the talk possible
with instant messaging, you gloss over topics way too fast in my experience, things i wouldve liked to talk about way more in-depth about i already get over with and jump into going off on about something else
which i suppose isnt bad on its own, not that i dont type a fair amount there still but i think it makes topics run out way faster and makes it harder to keep a convo going, so by the end of it that topic that sounded really interesting to me just ends up being wasted, and they become kind of hard to come back to with that person since you already went on about it
so it can be still fun but idk it makes me get left feeling like it couldve been more
with some certain things its actually better also but whatever
when youre in an imageboard and are typing over 10k characters worth of text for each subject it basically turns into an endless back and forth lol, with instant messaging i feel like things come to a dead end fast
it naturally makes you lazier with those topics also, its the difference between handwriting a letter and just texting someone instantly
and also thats why you shouldnt worry about whats gonna happen after you reply, because trust me textwalls that long just go on forever as long as both parties are willing to keep replying lol
theyll only get bigger and bigger also
