Section 1: The Existence of God.
Before we can begin to understand what this is all about, we need to understand what God, or rather, what he is not. Unlike many think, God is not something like Zeus or Thor, he is not some old man in the sky. God is also not that being which is greater than all the other beings. Rather, God is the pure act of being, existence itself, through which everything is created and sustained in every way.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zMf_8hkCdcThis concept is called Divine Simplicity and it was discussed since Plato and Aristotle, when they studied metaphysics and introduced their forms of radical realism (Platonism) and moderate realism (Aristotelianism) in order to answer Parmenides and Heraclites.
This concept can be shown in various ways. It is important to note that these proofs mostly handle the existence. The Divine attributes (omnipresence, omnipotence, perfection...) and so on directly follow, and this will be shown in a later post.
