>>18845962>>18844903>>18844980>>18845102Suddenly there's a ping on Delilah's phone as she receives an angry text from Cassie complaining about her stream being used by another wrestler to spread accusations about her double life as a crime boss, and giving instructions to issue a statement on her behalf denying the allegation.
Delilah's eyes light up. This is her chance. She quickly starts recording a video response to Steeli on her phone.
"Miss... Yastuffi? Am I pronouncing that correctly? No matter. You've made some ridiculous allegations about my employer, Cassie Kade. Specifically, you propagated the rumour that she is, to use your words, a crime lord."
"Ms. Kade is an honest, upstanding civilian who owns a nightclub and wrestles for the WWA. The world of crime is a foreign concept to her. Fortunately for you however, my employer has no intention of taking you to court of your libellous claims."
"Instead, she wishes to make you pay for your untrue words in the ring at the very next show. Cassie Kade of Team DOG vs Steeli Yastuffi of Team Spaghetti Dog. A preview of what's to come at JYE. Sounds interesting, don't you think?"
Eager to make an impression on Cassie and recalling how wrestlers she watched in her childhood would often walk out to the ring accompanied by a manager, Delilah makes an addition to the challenge issued on Cassie's behalf. "And Ms. Yastuffi, when Cassie defeats you in singles competition prior to leading her team to victory, I'll be there at ringside as her manager to get a close look at her moment of triumph."
She ends the video, and uploads it to Cassie's Tweetstagram. Surely Cassie won't mind having her as a manager? Her job after all, is to manage Cassie's wrestling related interests. Delilah grins. Cassie seems deeply invested in this wrestling malarkey, but if she can make herself an important part of that as Cassie's manager and earn her trust, surely a promotion to her father's old job would be inevitable.
