Wise old christian mystic and professor of ancient northern European languages professor tolkien was writing about this in his story of a spiritual battle at the end of an age, his friend CS Lewis also encoded the same beliefs too. For example look at the archetypal jew smeagol/gollum, it was smeagol who brought down the end of the age and destroyed the Enemy in that story, not wise gandalf or noble aragorn or even innocent Frodo. That’s the way God puts a twist in His tale. Read the beginning of the Silmarillion for an analogy which explains it.
It’s why we should be kind to jews and it is what the churches should have been teaching - though through chinese whispers and sadly also by greed for money this has all become lost to many churches. We should remember that the jews are doomed and that they carry a curse upon their shoulders which is a terrible one, but we should never trust them, or like them, or take our eyes off them.
