If the dead know not anything how can they know they are in Heave/ hell?
How can the rich man know who Abraham or Lazarus is? How can he know he is surrounded by flames?
People take a parable and use it to overturn literal direct teaching by a prophet of God.
"While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish" (Psa 146:2-4).
Dead people cannot think. If the rich man cant think how can he have a conversation with Abraham?

Dead people dont sing praises to God in heaven. Anyone who is telling you they have been to heaven is lying. NDE's are a deception of demons.

“Sit at my right hand,
David was a man of God and he is not in heaven but awaiting resurrection
"For IN DEATH there is no remembrance of Thee: in the GRAVE [Heb: 'sheol'] who shall give thee thanks?" (Psa 6:5). Dead people do not thank God and praise him in heaven, dead people are dead. Death is the opposite of life.
Mate its simply. You are DEAD till Jesus resurrects you. The question isnt will you go to heaven when you die, the question is if you die will you rise again. THAT QUESTION IS ACTUALLY ASKED IN THE BIBLE, in the book of Job
Job 14:14-15,

All the days of my hard service I will wait,
