Apparently the pc just needed some time to warm up, i left it running in safe mode (as far as i can get) for a few hours and tried again and it works. I'm suspecting a dodgy connection somewhere between the GPU and MB in combination with low temps/humidity. Soon™ i'll be able to pinpoint where the fault lies hhahaha. Captcha: Jack says YAJ!
