>>22336558There are falsehoods and then there are lies meant to deceive, to deceive is actually to have mal intent and seek someone's harm.
The sort of lies here are much more about just destabilizing the reliability of gossip, the fun is making up "lies" and seeing how they can explain what we see without ever caring if they are true. Having a looser relationship.
Deception, the malevolent lies, are about strict interpretations, X is Y or something. It's teaching people to think a certain way about reality that is false and that's what's actually malevolent.
I think the nature of the "lies" here is much more to just distrust everything you read online and gossip in general because the sort of basic thing is just making stuff up.
With other platforms it's much more about judgement and specific claims about what's real, where here it's just like aesthetics where saying Jet raped everyone is funny because it gives an interesting interpretation of the things we see.
heidegger would describe this as the "concealing that reveals" which is the more poetic or aesthetic approaches towards reality, where "lies" or "aesthetic interpretations of reality" include within them that they are in fact concealing and obscuring what's real. As opposed to the "concealing contrary to disclosure" where the idea is idea that what is being expressed does not include within it the idea that it is an obscuring.
All ideas obscure, but the question of if your mode of relating includes the idea it is obscuring within it. Everything is a lie but does it let you know that it is a lie or does it try to deceive you into thinking it is real?
It's more of a greek, acoustic, and poetic mode of engagement as opposed to a roman/imperial/lineal view focused on mastery and correctness.
The lies here get people in better contact with reality than the "truths" in any other community.
