well i'm checking to see if there's more stuff i need to do since many of my classes have me setting up third party accounts and whatnot so it's good to get out of the way. i saw a notification that a new document was posted in the jap class and decided to work on it some. since classes are online the worst case is that it gets covered during the zoom meeting and i just tune it out to do something else on my pc until they're done talking about it so there's no downside to doing it while i feel like it u kno?

the explanation for this sort of thing is usually that it's two sets of people. chinese grandpas trying to uphold the proud tradition of making dishes from their youth like the artisans did vs chinese zoomers who just want to give people advice on how to enjoy the food they know how to make
i don't know the state of rice cookers in third world countries (like bulgaria) but i'm guessing that it's much more niche there. here they're barely a step up from a coffee pot, most people own them. if anything those two statements are in line because he's essentially saying to stop being a faggy tryhard making your rice by hand and get a rice cooker instead like a normal person.
