My plan is to initially bug-in with adequate supplies and then strategically bug-out with a car full of camping supplies, water filters, water containers and food.
The bug-out location is an extremely isolated spring-fed waterhole on an unmarked road. So water availability won't be a problem so long as it can be filtered and boiled.
Even if everything goes to plan, that would give us (2 adults) a maximum of 6 months food, if rationed. Or 3-4 months of food if eating normally. With no way to get more, other than to shoot birds and other wildlife, and that's with us having zero knowledge or background in hunting (the rifle is just used for target shooting).
In other words, we are more prepared than most and even we have no competent or coherent plan after supplies run out after 6 months.
