>>19737711Inhaling and exhaling deeply, Maria put down her pen after finishing the letter, her motor skills having returned to her in such a way that she could actually write small letters again, unlike the quick scribbles she had written for Ash. It was nice to take a break from everything, even if she'd prefer to actually be able to walk without wobbly feet. But the therapy was working, her strength returning to her day by day. It wasn't going to be long until she was able to get back to train properly for her return.
The fresh spring breeze rolled across the hills of the Kingdom, enough to tingle the skin, but not enough to make one shiver.
Maria closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment, the little things. The sound of the wind moving over the hills in the distance, the rustling of grass, the pleasant warmth of the sun on her skin. Maria couldn't remember the last time she stopped and sat down to 'smell the roses', despite having a garden full of them herself.
Maria chuckled as she realized that she actually had roses in her garden, another piece of memory stitched back into the tapestry of her recovering mind.
She was going to be alright, the kids were going to be alright. The WWA was going to be alright.
