Ash inhales and looks around her office, eyes wide. Her breath shakes and her cheeks flush. She stands up as the room spins. She swallows and shuts her eyes tight, welling off the waterworks behind her eyelids.

The phone call ends and it takes notable strength to not drop the phone. Ash plants her hands on the edges of her desk. Her shoulders shake with heaving breaths.
