It is pristinely isolated, and has the intriguing gouffre de Padirac (pic related) not far from it, as well as an open air zoo of monkeys called "la fôret des singes" which I am very much partial to. Might be going this summer. I read once that in medieval Flanders, one could be condemned to pilgrimage to "Rotsemadoen"... they probably expected not many would want to come back!
