>>10988618>When’s the last time you had a nightmare?Whoa. It happened in two waves, first when I was 20, last when I was 23 years-old; they were, um, 'visitations' by unwanted entities, of a 'prurient' nature.
There's noting to obfuscate. A friend advised me that next time, consciously tell it to go away, 'you are not welcome'.
I did. It worked.
Other than that, I can't remember any other times I've thought I was awake while dreaming, that have frightened me.
In the years following the car accident, though, I had MANY dreams where I was in a frightened state, escaping while being pursued.
Wild flights, such as 'alighting' down the center of massive squared staircases, not too unlike what a monkey does swinging from vine to vine in the jungle. Easy-peasy routes to safety.
Yet, almost all of them ended with me pausing long enough for the pursuer to catch up...with me knifing them repeatedly, or smashing their skull into the ground or against a wall until they were no longer a danger.
Then, I'd wake up with heart racing as I reviewed the vividness of realizing I was victorious, despite the bloody confrontation.
It didn't take long to understand these were pain related, the accident having left me with decades of discomfort in its wake.
Still, it's been some years since even they have returned, possibly my psyche getting the message that I was not all that keen on fighting those wars with vengence.
Haha.
>interesting that your curiosity thought to ask such questions. My dreams have since evolved into curiosities of awe-inspiring natures......with some not really dreams at all of late. Those are the best, by far. Let's just say it appears my psyche has opted to trade 'asleep' for 'awake'.
>hopefully, something in all that answers whatever the meaning was behind your question. lol.
