To add to this: rock is in the worst shape it has been. Not only record industry shrunk 4 times past 2000; but rock has been pushed out of top 40 by hip-hop, electronics and so on.
>So what can one do? There are no good sXe acts. That is an objective fact. That depends on what you seek in music. I like power and energy of rock, but I also like good melody. Did Judas Priest, Iron Maiden do drugs much? Not sure about that, really.
Not to mention all the artists who wrote excellent melodies but never really were known for drug abuse.
