What a misfire. Plot was disjointed and not at all about Yasuke. Ahistorical too and continuity errors.
Not saying anime should be historically accurate because that is silly thing to say ya know? But, man the writing just superficially put a lot of fantasy, and sci-fi anime conventions and actually did some questionable things like mutants and mecha. Like did they at all read any historical sources or literature on Yasuke to make a dramatized or fictional portrayal? A proper anime portrayal of Yasuke is needed after this one because LeSean Thomas really made bad decisions with directing and story.
Only highlight is when story was centered on Yasuke and some parts of Flying Lotus’s soundtrack
