Without the Bible telling us that everyone was equal before God, slavery would not have been wiped out by the 10th century (or much earlier already), leading to many labor-saving devices being invented.
Look at ancient Europe before Christianity: Indistinguishable in terms of lack of civilization from any other pagan society. In fact, if Caesar is to be believed, Germany in particular was far more backwards than any other country in that region.
