a lot of people really like it but i honestly hated it. the story is cool enough, them talking a bit weird can be chalked up to world building or whatever instead of esl, the music is really good, and the gameplay is very satisfying and responsive. what was really offensive to me is the boss design.
it's a really hard game with tight reaction windows for a lot of stuff which is fine but as you progress boss attack patterns get progressively more bullshit imo. legitimately bullshit too, not just faster with more mix ups or something. the one that drove me off the edge was a boss who only had 1 attack string that left them open to hit them back but the string lasted like 1-5 attacks randomly at a speed that's completely unreasonable to react to. as far as i could tell you either had to have completely inhuman reactions or just guess how long the string is going to last. if you get it wrong and guard an extra time when the string is over then you miss your opportunity to do damage and if you attack when the string isn't over you take damage.
i finished the game on baby difficulty after that and it looked like every subsequent boss had a similar issue
the first handful are really fun though
>>10163168yeah, which is odd considering i woke up initially feeling quite refreshed
