1 Timothy 1:15
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
That was the goal. We can measure the goal. If 1 person fails to get saved then Jesus FAILED. According to evangelical Christianity 1% to 10% of humanity is saved (or worse!), the rest burn in hell forever! Who does that teaching glorify? It glorifies Satan! Why do they teach it? Satan has blinded them, and the love of money is the root of all evils. Eternal Torment gives money and power to the church, but it denies the atonement of Jesus on that cross! Jesus always does the will of the Father. If Jesus does not accomplish his goal then Jesus failed his Dad! Jesus can not fail! It is prophesied that Jesus will accomplish ALL that the Father wills.
Isaiah 53:10
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Whatever God purposes will come to pass. God's decrees are immutable. What God has purposed will come to pass. What does he purpose? All that he wills!
Isaiah 46:11
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
