I've got a symmetrical gigabit connection. Costs 12 euro per month.
If I had better networking equipment I'd move to 2.5 or 10 gigabit, but honestly I can't justify it.

But when you're downloading big games or movies it's nice to be able to do it at over 90 megabytes per second.
Even just updating my GNU/Linux OS takes a ridiculously short amount of time.
