because either, they will think youre insane, and when you are insane your brain genuinely believes the things youre saying so peeking into your brain and saying "well he thinks hes telling the truth" doesnt actually mean thats the truth
so much like that your facial cues and whatnot could say youre not lying about being a time traveler but that doesnt mean you arent (to them)
on the other hand, if this governmental entity actually gets convinced that youre a time traveler then youre fucked and theyre probably going to suck your brain out in their brain juicing chamber or keep you imprisoned forever
i really like that thing i raised up with disease though
germs and whatever kind of stuff like that i think would have most likely evolved a loooot over the time that you travel, alongside humans and their immune systems too
so youre traveling into this whole new age that your body is completely stranger to, you touch one surface and your body has zero fucking clue what to do against these new germs and whatever that just came up and so you fall sick instantly, and possibly die if things are that bad
hell in this future age there might even be a vaccine that everybody has to have taken for a disease thats going around, but you wouldnt have it, and you likely wouldnt even be able to take the vaccine because its just so mismatched with your body
unless you bring a hazmat suit or something with your time traveling then i think that simple matter would kill you lol
and maybe even then idk, alongside that somebody could forcibly take it off, which is pretty likely actually
plus yeah if you say that "im actually a time traveler" and this ai figures that youre telling the truth on your end, then it will just pass you off as insane and throw you in the looney bin and give you 50 future-age schizophrenia treatment pills that fry your brain
