But she had a mission from The Foremother herself. She was to bring Cassie up to speed on her heritage, and ensure her loyalty to The Foremother. But everything Lexi knew about Cassie indicated that would be no easy feat. She’d have to be very patient. For now, just getting to know each other and building up a rapport would be a decent enough start.
“You know, my mum always told me and all my siblings about a twin sister of hers that went missing in Ireland years before I was born. The family’s old place in Ireland is near this really high cliff, so the theory was she fell off… or jumped.” Lexi sighs. “But then you and Nikki showed up doing the wrestling thing, and we knew you had to be her daughters. Nikki in particular, she looks a lot like our mums. They were identical twins, you know… Hey since our mums are twins, I guess that makes us more like sisters than cousins, doesn’t it? Genetically I mean.” Lexi makes a show of laughing nervously. “Sorry, I’m rambling a bit aren’t I?”
“That’s quite alright.” Cassie smiles. “Tell me, you mentioned siblings, plural… Just how many are there? Your sister that’s in GJPW with you, Arleen… she’s the only other one I’m aware of.”
“Oh, WELL… there’s Arleen like you said. But she hates that name, just call her ArKade. She’s my only full sister, and the only one that’s younger than me. Besides her, I’ve got three older half sisters. All from different dads, men tend not to last too long with my mother. Or with any of us, really.”
