this does IMO 3 things at once, which are sorta opposite, in a way:
1)you know that intellectual thingy were everything is just atoms in various shapes and everything has just as much "meaning" as anything else? spot of chewing gum on sidewalk is just as 'important' as a battleship? You "feel" that and truly "see everything for the first time with fresh eyes" like you are a new born baby but also still have all your learned data.
2) you know how picrel looks like a catfish? on Acid it will look even more like a catfish, and maybe vice-versa. you know how sometimes objects look like it could be something diff, like the way a piece of clothing drapped randomly might match the shape of some gun, or animal, or how cloud shapes look like stuff? Those brain connections are also firing 100%. Intellectually, you will be able to know "Its just my mind making that connection/leap" but its still there.
3)IMO related to #2, you can get "locked" into a certain thought path and "trapped" in some self re-enforcing "rabbit hole". You know how Tony Soprano (and AJ) can get fainting spells triggered by certain family/emotional situations? kinda like that, I guess, but "can be anything" and generally not good and hence a "bad trip". My advice, and I'd give this to Tony and AJ, is to break out when you feel this coming on by deliberate "change of scenery", even if its just turning your head and looking in a different direction at the other wall, but bigger change is better
