Every year, on Ganesh Chaturthi Day, we do a 'Ganesh Visarjan'.
Lord Ganesh comes to visit us, he stays with us in our homes, we pray to him for 3 or 6 or 9 or 12 days along with our families, then we finally send him off by dumping his marble statue into the nearby sea/ocean/lake/river.
Recently, we have also gotten permission and a constructed a Hindu temple, replete with idols, in the heart of the islamic theocracy of the UAE.
Even their islamic leaders endorsed its construction and were present during the grand opening ceremony of the temple.
