Go to a hardware store where someone will spend time with you. Tell them you need to replace a very short piece of dryer duct. This shit is simple, and you can spend your "handyman" money elsewhere... like tools.
If you fuck it up... and you won't... then a handyman can come in and fix THAT. Go open that box, Champ.
