i know it because i always start by skimming the chapter the night before to prepare. also sometimes i just look stuff up separate from the book when i'm curious. like with なる i kept seeing it but didn't fully understand so i googled and found that u just use it with an adverb and u can turn adj into adv by changing な to に or い to く
