The most simple IR example is the fibrocartilaginous ring in the eye. It's a pulley that serves only one purpose: redirect the pull force of a muscle. There is no possible "half use" of this pulley. It only serves a purpose once the entire eye is already present in an organism, but if it's already present then the separate tissue has no benefit from piecemeal mutations to produce a pulley as it evolves from lesser to greater complexity. ie a muscle going straight through a pulley without changing direction serves no purpose and is in fact a detriment due to friction.
I've never in my life seen an "evolutionist" do any more than bat an eye at this theory-halting paradox in their belief system. They either ignore it entirely, blissfully dismissing it as a "argument from ignorance" or they desperately invent total nonsense to try and explain how it could evolve.
It's simply a religion to them.
