The first round was losing Summer, JC and Cole, Megan wasn't too popular so nobody really cared. Viewship nosedived after this first burn, then it started to stabilize a bit. The show started turning around and then they go on a mad spree just culling everyone, Taylor on Jan 2nd then followed quickly on the 4th with Nifty, Brian, Octavius who was just there to mog Brian and didn't really get a chance to get settled in, and Delaney. So you lost 5 people out of the house in short order and the show basically imploded into boredom for a few days once again so people started tuning out. It started stabilizing again only for Jimmy to get kicked which was CATASTROPHIC for content. Viewership goes down even further and no matter how hard Tay and Trish tried to bail out the fiasco of a season it just wasn't going to reverse the trend.
It cannot be understated how much Tay saved this season both in terms of content and in terms of finances by just being a great TTS magnet for trolls and other antics. The amount of TTS she got was insane and it was clear that she had different rules applied to her with TTS since she was basically fully uncensored while someone like TJ more or less only got positive ones from india or ones berating him to ring the bell or DO SOMETHING, many of which were directly from Ben and Jet.
