>>22310960This reminds me of a phenomenon I hate, which is people expressing ideas as if they were their own, only for me to find out it's some almost verbatim opinion of some Youtuber or whatever.
If you ask what people think about an anime show and the opinion is [mainstream opinion], you know that person is an NPC. Similar to the pointing out of this
>>22310870 , where people just heard something they agree with and adopted it as their own motto.
These "people" operate with keywords and memorizing what they find useful socially, instead of using external opinions to confront their own and achieve an original form of thought.
If you ask me what I think about something, I might have a mainstream opinion, but I will NEVER verbalize it in a canned way absorbed from someone else. I will say what everyone else is saying, but with my own words.
That is a big aspect for me. I prefer to talk to people who I have 0 in common with than with someone who has the same tastes, because I am very judgmental of people with the same tastes who exhibit any inkling of being a mindless parrot.
Also, I found the picture I mentioned on the other post, I think it's this one.
