Kanako had packed up her various weapons, illegal items, and experimental gadgets she had been issued from GEIST. It all barely fit in her SUV.
>Ugh...that was heavy.
Kanako slammed the rear door of her SUV, putting away the last of it. She made her way back into her apartment, doing one last sweep. She found a couple of stray bullets and another handgun stashed away, picking up all of them. All that remained in her apartment was furniture and massive amounts of anime merchandise. Those she could leave for the movers. Kanako looked down, slightly depressed. This was for the best. She had ruined everything. None of this would have happened if she hadn't gotten involved with the dojo. No one would've gotten hurt. No one would've worried. Life was much easier when she could just change her identity and leave the country. But since that option wasn't available, it was time for the next best thing. She pulled out her phone and wrote a text.
>I am leaving the dojo. Nothng personal need. A change. Thx for everythin Coach and thx for everything Paule. Ill still be around the WWA if u need anythin
Kanako hit send before leaving her home for the last few months behind forever. She'd miss this place, but things had to change. She hoped she was strong enough to make that happen.
Much later, Kanako pulled up to a large house she had bought just days ago. Luckily, she had plenty of money left over from GEIST between her bank account, crypto, and cold hard cash. She stepped out from her car, standing at the entrance. For some reason she hesitated before walking towards it. She couldn't let her past hold her back from the future she wanted to build.
