this seems like a good video. she's speaking simply? i understood more than usual
the book is confusing me a bit with ある and です by being too narrow i think. it introduces ある as pairing with が to talk about existence like あそこに学校があります then talks about place locations paring は and です like 学校は病院の隣です.
couldn't you say something like 病院の隣に学校があります for "there is a school next to the hospital" but 学校は病院の隣です for "the school is next to the hospital"
