And for a previous poster, concerning it s involving drugs, the show makes a pretty big point that the usage of said drugs is a strict FAILING of the MC. They never glorify it, and in fact the series makes a big point of "MC is doing a big stupid right now" when showing it.
The show doesn't After-school-special about it because it expects the audience to understand the show don't tell aspect of the story telling, MC doing drugs was, if I recall properly, ALWAYS involved in it somehow being a mistake on MC's part, and an aspect of the EXACT mental issues MC was fighting AGAINST the entire time.
(Goddamn, I would much prefer the ability to just use normal fucking italics here. Sorry)
