If you want to call them Demons, fine. If you want to call them inter dimensional energy vampires, fine. They could be from a different planet, a different dimension, or energy beings living in the highly electrically charged environment of our upper atmosphere.
Either way there at least is a faction of them that is predatory and has been manipulating humans since before recorded history and continue to do so today from the shadows but using much the same methods they used in many other empires throughout history.
