>>8597599nah the school was going downhill for a long time. it was sort of in the middle of nowhere with some niche programs that had 15 students in them keeping it alive. they changed zoning to make it take students from the inner city 45 minutes away instead of the suburbs 30 minutes away and none of the new students wanted to take the niche programs while simultaneously pulling down the actually successful arts programs so there was no longer a reason for the school to exist so they just shut it down altogether.
clarinet and sax is a pretty common combo since saxophones are basically an all-metal variant of bass clarinet so they're very similar to play.
yeah the band director was kind of a prick lol. he wasn't the worst overall, but every once in a while he'd absolutely die on a hill over something obnoxious. my senior year he tried to force me to go to some state honor band hours away and refused to take no for an answer until i made up some exaggerated sob story and got all emotional in his office about it
