I have some morbid attraction to dysfunctional, conflict-ridden places. I am drawn to them and have visited them before, including my first time ever abroad -- for a year in an African country with conflict.
I'm sure I can survive Ukraine, and if I don't, then at least bury me in the mine -- or spread my ashes in the mine.
