>>17234518>cod was never meant to be competitiveJust because a game wasn't meant to be competitive doesn't stop people from playing it that way. Do you think every single game that people play at a high skill level started out that way?
You simply think it's not a thing because you never even touched that part of the game. There's always been a side of the community up until MW3 of people playing at a top level. CoD always allowed itself to be played that way because the core mechanics of the game were genuinely good for it and there was a skill ceiling. The movement and gunplay in MW2 is still top-tier FPS. They gradually stripped out all those elements to make the piece of shit known as MW2022.
The "pros" you talk about are just the flashy shit you saw on YouTube as a kid. That never represented that part of CoD as a whole. I think it's pretty dumb to assume it's not a thing just because you were never involved in it.
And, sure, I guess it was always the smaller side of the game, but that doesn't mean it deserves to be cut out completely. Nor does it make any better for the casual side of the playerbase either to have glaring fucking netcode issues like that.
Imagine if you played, let's say TF2, but you always had an extra 150 ping added to your actual latency no matter what. Would you be okay with that just because you're not interested in playing the game more seriously?
Once you notice that it's there, it still obviously hampers the experience. MW2 didn't have the same issues so it's objectively a better game to play than BO2 was. Not even counting everything else it did better.
I'm not saying BO2 was bad either, just that people really put it on a pedestal when they say it's the best entry out of all of them or something.
Why are you so aggressive?
>however BO2 zombies is still far superior toIt doesn't really matter because WaW with custom maps beats everything else anyhow.
